pagemaps scrapbook layout

Here is my layout for the PageMaps: my little shoebox contest.  This layout I created uses bigshot dies, paper, ink, punches from Stampin' Up!  The inspiration for the layout is my daughter who i will sadly miss when she goes into Kindergarten full time next year.  An end to the baby and preschool stage at our house.  While it is a bittersweet moment, I look forward to the school years with her and the continuing joys and tribulations of all my children as they get older.  thanks for looking!

hello card

This card is one that i made using Splitcoast Stamper sketch challenge 331.

The stamps i used are Stampin' Up!'s fast and fun notes and teeny tiny wishes.  The papers are groovy guave, cajun craze and whisper white.  the patterened paper i think is making memories?  I used misc. brads and SU! bitty flower punch.  The die for the main image and the felted layer is Spellbinders label 4 dies.  I embellished the stamp with prismacolor pencils, stickles and crystal effects.  thanks for looking!

a rapunzel birthday card

my littlest darling is turning 5 and i made this birthday invitation for her party:

I love how it turned out!  I first searched for a digital image of Rapunzel since my daughter is very much into the movie Tangled right now.  I found the perfect image at tiddlyinks!  I first masked the image so i could sponge some distress ink for the background.  Then, i colored the image with odorless mineral spirits and Prismacolor pencils.  This is sort of a new technique for me and i loved getting the practice time because this is my new favorite way to color stamped images! I made the tower with the sizzix embossing bricks folder and sponging soft suede ink over the cajun craze paper when it was done to really enhance the texture.  The vines were made with the SU! bird punch.

Paper:  Stampin Up!  baja breeze, chocolate chip, cajun craze and old olive
Ink:  Stampin Up! soft suede and Tim Holtz distress ink antique linen
Digital Stamp:  Rapunzel from
Font:  2peas scrapbook
Accessories:  Stampin' Up! x lg bird punch, scallop border punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, 1 1/2 inch circle punch and sizzix bricks embossing folder, Prismacolor pencils, twine

easy easter bunny craft

funny fuzzy easter bunnies

painting our cups with white acrylic paint
The kids and I needed a fun project to make on school  vacation week and we came up with this easy craft.  The best part, they thought of the idea themselves, love that!  i just helped with the "finishing touches".  The girls grabbed plastic cups and white acrylic paint.  (you can skip this part if you would like).  then they cut out bunny ears and colored them pink, we then glued them to toothpicks.  I punched two little holes in the top of the upside down plastic cup with my paper piercer - don't let the kids do that part!  when the cups were  dry from the paint we drew on cute little faces with marker and glued googly eyes too.  Then we covered the ears and body with a light brushing of glue and attached "pulled apart" pieces of cotton balls to glue to the little bunnies.  we stuck in the ears on top and voila!  cute little bunnies for easter or spring decor.  thanks for looking!  Rebecca
